In 2013 NCG established a new Friends Group: Friends of Bridgewater Bay, whose aim is to work with the local residents to improve the habitat of the ‘nature strips’ and drainage reserves to create linked corridors of vegetation for our local fauna. This project took a great deal of time to get all stakeholders in agreement and signed off, before the brochures could be designed, printed and distributed to residents. This trial weed removal project seeks ongoing action by almost 300 residents in the local Bridgewater Bay Area (see map below). We would like to acknowledge the support of the BPSMA (Bridgewater Private Streets Maintenance Association) who have donated $500 p.a. for the last three year towards this project.
