The NCG monitors the planning advertisement for planning applications lodged at the Mornington Shire Council for compliance with the objectives of the NCG regarding vegetation retention/improvement and construction consistent with our unique coastal setting.
The NCG is also involved in the development of masterplans in the Nepean Ward .
Currently the following masterplans are :

- Western Sister
The NCG has had some success with submissions to Council on :
- Hotel Continental redevelopment
- Revegetation conditions on permit applications for tree removal for construction of dwellings
- Redevelopment proposals in the Sorrento Village with size reductions and more favorablw permit conditions
- Development of masterplans

We are asking you to look at the Mornington Peninsula Planning Review (attached) and to submit your suggestions as members of the NCG to MPS. Note that the feedback period has been extended until 10 October 2018.
Point Nepean Final Master Plan

The Nepean Conservation Group welcomes the launch of the Final Master Plan for Point Nepean National Park. The NCG is pleased that $3.7 m has been allocated for a number of initiatives, including $2m for the upgrading of the Quarantine
Continental Hotel Sorrento
Community Information Meeting regarding the Continental Hotel Sorrento was held on Sunday 30 June 2019, 11.30am – 1.00pm at the Sorrento Community Centre. The meeting was incredibly well attended (100’s) and informative. NCG continues to follow up issues related to the development of the historic hotel building. See: Original Notice of Meeting
